Ingredients:

Brownie:

  • 1 1/2 cups organic black beans ( 1 15 oz. can)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (can be sugar free is desired)

Recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Rinse and strain black beans in cool water.

2. Combine all ingredients except for the chocolate chips into a food processor and blend until completely smooth. Make sure there are no chunks of black bean, because that would not be very appetizing to bite into!

3. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour into a 8X8 pan that is either greased or lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-18 minutes and then let it cool for 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

Reese’s Peanut Butter Frosting:

  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
  • 4-8 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tsp milk of choice (I used almond milk)
  • 3/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Recipe:

Blend everything together in the food processor and spread onto the cake once it has cooled. You may want to doubly the recipe for a thick layer over the cake.

Enjoy!
