This smoothie is quick and will keep you full for a number of hours, as well as it cleanses your body and makes you feel energized and fantastic!
1 cup frozen berries (I use frozen mixed berries)
1/2 cup baby spinach
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp ground flax seed
As much water as is needed (normal water or coconut water)
Blend all together and enjoy!
Remember that the flax seed must be ground in order to gain all of the health benefits that come from it. These benefits include being a great source or fibre (both soluble and insoluble), omega-3 essential fatty acids (health fats) and lignans (which help to reduce the risk of breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men).
